JAZZ @ THE SHEDD
I-NOMA’s new Social Outing Series (S.O.S.) is a chain of seasonal networking events and social activities scheduled throughout the year which are designed to bring minority professionals within the design industry together in the spirit of fellowship, camaraderie, business development, and counsel.
This summer’s I-NOMA S.O.S. event will piggy-back on the popular weekly summer event Jazzin at the Shedd, which takes place each and every Wednesday evening (6pm-9:30pm) inside the Shedd Aquarium in downtown Chicago. During this event, guests have the option to either pay an admission fee to enter the aquarium and enjoy live jazz and cocktails as they visit the exhibits and socialize on the outdoor patio, or casually lay out on the north lawn for free to listen to music, meet with friends, and watch the fireworks show over Navy Pier at 9:30pm.
For this event I-NOMA plans to follow the second option and we’ll reserve a small picnic area outside of the aquarium on the north lawn. This option is free to all I-NOMA members and guests, and of course, any guest still has the option to separately purchase a ticket to Jazzin at the Shedd if they want to leave the group and go inside to see the exhibits.
We’re asking all I-NOMA members to please bring a small picnic dish and/or drink to share with the group. Please coordinate your food/beverage contribution with I-NOMA member Darin Triplett at darin.triplett@gmail.com.
